Delete an Awenwood account
You can request deletion even if the Android app is no longer installed.
Delete inside Awenwood
A Hearthkeeper can use the protected family-management and account controls in Awenwood to remove a Young Villager, delete a Huddle, or delete the adult account. The app explains the effect and requires confirmation before destructive deletion.
Send a deletion request
- Email privacy@awenwood.app from the adult email used to sign in.
- Say whether you want to delete your adult account, one Huddle, or one Young Villager profile. Do not send a child’s email, exact birth date, PIN, pairing code, or other secret.
- Flying Monkey Workshop will verify account ownership using the adult Awenwood account. An email address alone is never sufficient authority.
What each option means
- Delete a Huddle: removes its members, family-created content, approved devices, pairing, notifications, and synchronization data.
- Delete a Young Villager: revokes paired devices and removes or anonymizes the applicable child profile and private activity. Archiving instead provides a 90-day restoration period.
- Delete the adult account: deletes Huddles owned by that adult, detaches or anonymizes memberships in other Huddles, deletes the authentication account, and removes applicable local data.
Bounded retention
Most applicable data is removed through the verified deletion lifecycle. Narrow, content-free deletion receipts and minimized operational or security records may remain temporarily so deletion reaches other devices and the service remains secure. Current cleanup periods are 7 days, 24 hours, 30 days, or 90 days depending on the record. These records are not kept for advertising.
