What the app does, how rewards work and what parents control.
What is Awenwood? Is it a chore app?
Yes. Awenwood is a family app for organizing chores, reviewing finished work and choosing rewards together. Children have their own list and an illustrated Village that grows with approved tasks.
What does my child do, and what do I control?
Your child checks My Day and sends you their finished tasks. You choose the tasks, timing, point values and rewards. You approve the work or return it with a note.
What do Quest, Sparks and Wish mean?
A Quest is a task. Sparks are points awarded after your approval. A Wish is a reward or goal chosen by your family.
What is the Village? Who is Meli?
The Village is your child’s illustrated world. Approved tasks help it grow. Meli is the character who guides your child toward what they can do next.
Is the app available in French?
Yes. Awenwood supports Canadian French and English.
Can I choose how many Sparks a chore is worth?
Yes. The parent chooses the Spark value when creating the chore, called a Quest in Awenwood.
Does my child receive rewards automatically?
No. A parent reviews every submitted Quest and decides whether to approve it or return it with a helpful note.
Can I send a chore back if it is not finished properly?
Yes. Return it with clear guidance so your child can try again.
Can chores repeat on a schedule?
Yes. Free includes three built-in daily Routine Adventures, basic start times, and pause and step controls. Premium adds custom routines and advanced weekday schedules.
Can more than one parent manage the family?
The planned Premium offering supports multiple parents, called Hearthkeepers in Awenwood.
Can I use Awenwood with more than one child?
The planned Premium offering supports multiple children, called Young Villagers.
What can Sparks be used for?
Children save Sparks toward Wishes: privileges, activities, treats, or other rewards your family defines together.
Does spending Sparks erase Village progress?
No. Village Growth is lasting visual progress from approved chores and never decreases when Sparks are spent.
Does Awenwood contain ads?
No. Awenwood has no ads or behavioural advertising.
Can children communicate with strangers?
No. There are no public profiles, stranger discovery, or open conversations.
What does the free version include?
One active parent and child, five active custom tasks, and three built-in routines with 12 starter steps. Those steps don’t count toward the custom-task limit. Rewards, Meli, My Day and the Village are included. See Pricing for the full comparison.
What does Premium add?
More parents and children, unlimited active custom tasks, custom routines, advanced schedules and extra appearance options. You can also duplicate routines or copy them to another child. See Pricing for details.
What happens if my family returns to Free?
Your family’s data is preserved. Free supports one active parent, one active child and five active custom Quests. The built-in Routine Adventures remain usable. Extra family members become inactive, extra custom Quests are paused, and custom Routine Adventures become read-only and paused by plan. Wishes, the Family Big Wish, Storybook, Village Growth and history are not deleted. Saved Premium appearance choices are kept while Free uses an available default. Returning to Premium restores access to preserved Premium features.
Can I purchase Premium now?
Not yet. Billing isn’t enabled during testing. See the Pricing page for the planned Canadian launch prices.
Does Awenwood work offline?
Yes. Once a device is connected to your family, core features keep working offline and sync again when the connection returns.
How do I delete my account or a child profile?
Use Awenwood’s protected family-management controls or follow the verified steps on the Delete Account page.
Is Awenwood available outside Canada?
The initial public release is planned for Canada. No wider release date is promised.

What is Founding Edition?
Founding Edition is planned as a one-time purchase for Premium, with no recurring Founding Edition subscription. It will continue receiving Awenwood Premium updates. Purchases are not available yet.
